Clothed or Unclothed V2.0

I saw the poll that livtocruz made on "clothed or unclothed" and I swear I thought it was going to be about the Standing Liberty Quarters, whether you prefer the exposed bust of Lady Liberty or the clothed-over version. Maybe some of you didn't know that the US made a coin with an exposed breast on it. Well now you know, so cast your vote!

md, I'd have to see them side by side before I vote. Is there a place selling them? I used the clothed or unclothed line to catch peoples eyes. Didn't know about this coin. Thanks
Is that coin silver or gold? Can't tell.

It's a silver quarter that was minted between 1916-1930. Some looking on the internet should have all the images and information you could want on this coin. By the way, the type I, or unclothed varieties, are very valuable because of their rarity - they only made them for a very short time because there was a large public outcry on having nudity on a circulating coin. The 1916 coin is worth thousands even in lower grades.

mf, they have a few here for sale. The VF-20 @ $92 is your best buy unless, you have $270. Then the AU-58 FH is better.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, yep I was banned for a few weeks for posting--- about the same thing (or nothing more offensive); but then to my dismay, found some others posting pics that showed "more" and didn't get banned. What is the standard on GIM?

btw, my own personal opinion. The exposed chest doesn't offend. Lots of Greco-Roman art out there that is first-rate......... and always will be.

Putting clothes on Liberty is an oxymoron.
